Challenge - Defending Champ
Music for outside entries must be e-mailed with the music attached to
danzaentries@webmail.co.za
All music must be in either wav or mp3 format. Music must be sent 2 weeks prior to the competition. Instead of naming your music track 1, please rename it as street1solo for example. Alternatively, you can phone us to make arrangements to drop it off.
Awards for qualifying: Grading Certificate per entry - R80 for 1st place
.Awards for semi-finals: Semi-finalist grading certificate per entry & Semi-Finalist badge.
R150 for 1st place
Awards for Finals: Finalist badge per entry, a placement certificate per entry. 2nd & 3rd place will receive a medal, 1st place will receive a trophy. R300 for 1st place
During the Finals, you compete for placement and not grading.
DEFENDING CHAMP:
Normal Challenge as used during qualifying and semi-final rounds.
X3 dancers per category/ per section and division invited to compete for placement at the finals. (based on most points during semi's)
Defending Champ awards the Champ title per category for example
Street1 Solo Champ Teen/Adult
Street 1 Couple Champ Youth
Acro Trio Champ Tods
Final Round
FINAL ROUND
If you receive 1st placement for any of the below, you will receive your official colours letter. This means that you are now allowed to purchase a colours jacket.
Please note that audience members have to book seats for the final round.
These champions will automatically advance to the 2008 Finals for the Champ title they won, in order to defend their title. You may however still compete in all other rounds if you wish to accumulate points for title change, or wish to qualify for other challenges. Entry fee for this round

Final: Title rules apply but you are allowed to wear sequence, shimmer material and stones for example: a plain red outfit with glitter material

- Only the invited competitors allowed to compete for placement.
- All winners/champs per section/category/division as well as challenge champs will automatically advance to the final round the following year to defend their title for the category and section they won.
- In the event that you change division, you will still automatically advance to final but under your new division. You will however not be allowed to defend your title.
- Winners will still need to compete in qualifying rounds if they want to qualify for spots to compete in different categories/sections than the category/section they won.

- Placement will be done directly after each challenge/category/section/division
- Competitors dance (while busy with scoring, next competitors warm up on the floor)
- then 1st, 2nd and 3rd placement announced
- competitors will take their place on the podium, where they will receive their certificate, finalist or champion badge, medals or trophies, colours letter (1st place winners only), and title change letters and new title
